YOUR GREAT NAME

Image
"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens." (Psalms 8:1) "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe."  (Proverbs 18:10) Our names are precious to us....they reveal who we are.  They are a personal connection, a unique part of us.  Names in Biblical times were very important, they revealed a person's character.  As we read through Scripture we can see the importance of names,  therefore, I think it should be a priority in our lives to learn the Names of God.  He has been given many Names and each reveals Him in a different way.  God's Names represent His attributes, His nature.  I think it is important that we know God by His many Names.  I hope you are encouraged and uplifted as you read these Names of God.  I would urge you to take time to worship Him daily  by calling upon Him using His various Names... to do so will be an awesome experience in kn

BLACK, WHITE & BRIGHT

Image
I had no intentions of posting this outfit, however, after receiving so many compliments at work, I decided to. It was raining cats, dogs, lions and bears when I left for work this morning and here I am in bright pink pants like the sun is just a beaming. lol I honestly think that's why I got so many compliments, because my bright pants were the sunshine on a gloomy day. ;-) Thankfully, the rain was all cleared up by the time I got off so I was able to snap a few pics. The wind was blowing like crazy but my daughter still managed to get some decent shots.    Blazer: Jessica London Striped Blouse: Ralph Lauren Pants: Thrifted Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell Earrings and Necklace: F21 Sunnies: Armani Exchange I have so many fun new things to show you!! Have a great weekend! With LOVE, Kiah

HOW I LAYER A DRESS

Image
I purchased this dress a while back and fell in love with its metallic color. I believe that metallic items can be used year round and therefore are excellent investment pieces. This dress is too large in the chest area (sides and back) but I don't mind because I would NEVER wear it on its own. It is a rare act of total fashion ambition for me to show my arms (previous post was one of those rare acts). In an effort to show you how I layered a dress, I decided to show my arms once again. I hope you realize how much I love you! lol Step #1 - Put on your fave dress Step #2 - Add a shirt over it. You can leave it opened... OR closed Step #3 - Add a jacket or blazer over shirt. Dress: Asos Curve White Blouse: I.N.C. (Macy's) Cropped Tuxedo Jacket: Lane Bryant Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell Purse: Chanel Sunnies: Armani Exchange (my new faves) Jewelry: David Yurman A dress can easily be used as a skirt by layering over top of it. You can e

PRODUCT REVIEW: SHATOBU

Image
I was recently sent a pair of ShaToBu tights to review. ShaToBu is the only brand of shapewear available that has been scientifically proven to burn extra calories!! ShaToBu uses ground-breaking resistance band technology not only to  boosts women's confidence with an instantly sleeker, firmly controlled silhouette, but to effortlessly change their shape over time and burn additional calories by making their muscles work just a little harder during natural movement.  I wear shapewear daily so I was very excited to try this product, not only for what it claims to do (burn calories), but also because they are fashionable. How cute is this pattern! When I put these on I immediately felt "held in" but not restricted. I could actually breathe (which is pretty important) and they were very comfortable. Just for kicks and grins, I took before and after measurements. My waist was 2 inches smaller and my hips were 1 inch smaller! The more I walked I felt a sort of tingling se

FUN FRIDAY: SILVER BULLET

Image
One of the songs I remember my dad listening to when I was growing up is "I'm 18 with a bullet" by Pete Wingfield . It is the 1st thing I thought of when I put on these shoes. A silver bullet! lol I found these fabulous kicks at DSW Shoe Warehouse. They are so funky and fun! I decided to pair them with my grandma's vintage silver headband hat, my Asos Curve jumpsuit, a DIY denim vest and my favorite "girl in the green scarf". haha Shoes by Sam Edelman Have a great weekend! NEON STRIPES

Image
I went to Ross Dress for Less to look for a large serving dish. I don't know if you've ever been in Ross before but it's like they are giving away money or something because it's so freaking crowded!! I didn't find the dish that I was looking for so I took a short cut down the dress isle to get out of the store. It was down this isle that I saw a burst of neon stripes peeking out from the racks!! I stopped to pull it out and it was this insane tank dress! I had to have it! The price tag read $10.99!! YES and WHAT!! I spent 15 minutes in line to buy it. Totally worth it but I don't think I can do it again....EVER!! lol Dress: Ross Dress for Less Blazer: I.N.C. (Macy's) (old) Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell (old) Necklace: Vintage Watch: Michael Kors Bracelets: H&M Earrings: Lane Bryant (old) Handbag: Chanel Sunnies: Kenneth Cole Have you ever found a great deal at Ross Dress for Less? ASOS CURVE FLORAL SUIT

Image
I've had this Asos Curve suit for over a month but was waiting for it to warm up a bit so I could rock it. Well today was the perfect day! The rain has finally gone (after 4 days) and what better way to welcome the sun back than with flowers! I originally purchased the floral pants but my hubby thought the skirt would compliment my figure better so I sent the pants back and got the skirt. So glad I took his advice because I love this pencil skirt. It fits well and really does compliment my curves better than the pants did. My hubby has great taste! Suit: Asos Curve Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell White Wife Beater: Lane Bryant Sunnies: Armani Exchange Necklace: F21 Watch: Gift from blogger friend To break up all the print, I opted for an all white tank underneath. I can also see wearing it with black underneath and can think of numerous ways to wear each piece individually. LOVE! Going forward, I will be posting 3 times per week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. PAJAMAS IN FASHION??

Image
One of the trends for spring is pajamas. Yes! Pajamas! I think it's a pretty genius idea being that I often wake up on Saturday mornings, start breakfast and realize that I don't have milk, eggs or bread! Well now you don't even have to get dressed to run to the grocery store! All you have to do is throw some heels on with your PJs and maybe add a blazer or sweater and you're all set! Talk about convenience at its finest! LOL  Here are a few looks for the trend... I'm a huge fan of the trend! You can't go wrong with comfy and convenient!! haha Here's how I decided to wear my pajama shirt today. It's hard to see the white piping on my shirt because of the sun. :-(   Pajama Top: Nautica Wide Leg Jeans: Lane Bryant (old) Tribal Print Coat: Vintage Shoes: Jessica Simpson Necklaces: F21 Bracelet and Earrings: Vintage Watch: Anne Klein Handbag: B.
