From the Rez to the City

When I saw this outfit on the One Stop Plus website I knew I had to have it. The skirt on the website was beautiful and flowing plus it had a great shimmer to it. The skirt I received was nothing like what I saw on the website. Now I wish I would have gone up a size (or 2) to get more of the drape and flow that I wanted. It seems their sizing runs a bit smaller than other retailers. Anywho, I love the color and length. This top is an amazing scoop neck tank with chain detail shoulders. The warm color reminds me of a beautiful sunset and the skirt color is called sunset bliss.  My husband took these pics and he kept saying sit up straight so I was being a smart butt on this picture above....."YES SIR"!! I guess for being a smart butt this pic makes me look like I have a huge roll where the skirt has gathered at the waist!! LMKO (laughing my keester off). I decided to throw this on after work today. I was feeling a bit "sassy" and I thought this outfit was a great reflection of my attitude. Hey Y'all!! I am in Georgia visiting my brother and sister...YAY ME!! My brother is an Army Ranger instructor and my sister is the Assisant General Manager of a hotel. Today they both had to work but we were able to meet my brother for lunch and then we met my sister and nephew for dinner. The last time I saw my sister was almost 4 yrs ago and she was pregnant with my nephew so I am meeting him for the 1st time. OMG he is the sweetest most cutiest thing ever!! We drove 12 hours to get here yesterday and we will be here for the remainder of the week. My brother has (2) children so I also get to see my other neice and nephew!! I wanted to share the pic I got with my bro after lunch today. Ain't he cute in his uniform!! ;-) I see that I got a couple of new followers since I have been here so I am so excited! Although it is a great compact camera I don't think its doing the colors and fabrics of my outfits any justice (this skirt has beautiful gold threads in it) so I think I will have to break down and buy a SLR. I love sleeveless things but I HATE my arms!! They have always been large and I am very insecure about them so.. I NEVER show them. Today I decided to wear this cute cobalt blue Calvin Klein sleeveless dress. I took one picture without my blazer so that you could really see the full dress. Do you know that this means? That I must REALLY love y'all!! I love wearing black and blue together. Every time I hear black and blue I think of painful bruises. lol I found these fabulous shoes by something Dollhouse or other at Ross Dress for Less. I have never heard of this brand but I thought these were super cute. I know they will not last because they are not real leather. In a previous post I told you about my back and sciatic nerve pain. Although it has healed some it is still bringing me pain. Yesterday my husband began having severe chest pain. He thinks it is just a pulled muscle but it scared me. I got to thinking about how fragile we are and how our lives can change in the blink of an eye. One minute we are so strong and independent and the next we are weak and helpless.
